Dear Members,
At our competition last weekend, the weather cleared and our young athletes delivered 389 PBs as well as a handful of javelin centre records! It would be great to see large numbers attending our final two twilight meets before the break. Our Christmas event will take place on December 18th and we hope to see Samta arrive after the competition (more details to follow). We will then resume competition on February 1st.
U10 parents are on set-up / pack-up duties this Wednesday.
Relay training
This Wednesday at 4.45pm, ahead of the twilight meet we are conducting our final relay training on Righetti oval for those that progressed through to the State finals.

Event time: 5.45pm – 7.00pm
Parent duties: U10 parents are on set-up and packup duties.
State relay championships
CMLAC has 20 teams progressed to the Commonwealth Bank State Relay Championships. This will take place on Saturday, 14th December at Whittlesea City LAC. Please refer to the relay teams WhatsApp for more details.
Key track and field dates in 2025
- LAVIC State Combined Event Championships – February 1st-2nd. Entries are now open for this event at this link. Please note participation at this event – and representing CMLAC in any duties – needs to be parent-led, as no committee will be in attendance.
- EMR Regional Track & Field Championships at Yarra Ranges on Februrary 15-16th. Entries are now open for this event here. Please note parental involvement in the duty roster is pre-requisite to your children competing for Camberwell Malvern in this event.

Our canteen and BBQ will be open this week. Also please nominate to help on canteen roster in the new year if you haven’t done so already. Sign up to the roster.
